Ashley Rahr

Hi! I’m Ashley, and I am so glad you are here. I work with individuals and couples who are experiencing relationship struggles, life transitions, and attachment wounds. I also see clients experiencing anxiety, depression, shame, grief, and trauma.

I specialize in helping clients to identify the Somatic expression of past trauma and pain in their stories. As clients process their trauma through active engagement with their sensory experiences, they better understand their current thinking and behaviors. My practice is informed by Attachment Theory, Somatic and Emotionally-Focused Therapies, and DBT.

One of my favorite things to do is to delight in others! I spent several years in the wedding planning industry where I celebrated couples in one of life’s biggest moments. After that career journey, I spent four years as a middle school math teacher, which showed me how important it is to connect with the younger versions of ourselves. And now, as a counselor, I encourage my clients to find passions that bring joy and connection to their lives. I am so grateful to hold space for people as they seek healing and change.

Spending time with my family is my greatest joy! When I am not counseling, I am doing something creative and crafty with my hands, playing with my volleyball team, or attending concerts.
