Jan Amerman

Welcome! I love joining clients on their journey to emotional and spiritual health and maturity. I especially enjoy working with women on a wide variety of issues including relationship challenges, grief and loss, codependency, life transitions, depression, anxiety and spiritual struggles.

My goal is to create a safe and accepting space for my clients to be able to honestly share their struggles, challenges, pain
and questions.

As a Qualified Supervisor, I assist counseling interns in further developing their gifts and skills so that they are able to provide the highest level of service to their clients.

I have been on staff as Director of Women’s Ministry at one church and Counseling Center Director at another. I have training in Christian Life Coaching, Spiritual Direction and Prayer ministry as well as Clinical Pastoral Education for Chaplains. I have facilitated many Bible study groups through the years as well as counseling groups, marriage groups, and Biblical financial principle groups.

I was a CPA for many years. I have been through my own extensive counseling process so I can personally relate to the challenges, rewards and benefits of therapy.

I have a Christian counseling perspective and believe that emotional and spiritual maturity go hand-in-hand.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, leading Bible study groups and spending time with friends and family. I have been married 49 years to my wonderful husband. We have four amazing married adult children
and six adorable grandchildren.
