Ashley Kinchen

It takes courage to face life’s challenges and ask forsupport. Whether you're carrying the weight of grief, trauma, anxiety, relational pain, or feeling stuck, I believe you deserve a space where yourstory is honored and your healing is supported with care and skill.

As a person-centered therapist, I create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel seen and heard. I work withindividuals and couples navigating attachment wounds, shame, relationshipchallenges, and life transitions. I also offer faith-integrated counseling forclients who value spiritual exploration as part of their healing.

As a Gottman-trained therapist, I support couples inrebuilding trust, deepening emotional connection, and improving communication.Whether you’re preparing for marriage, blending families, or navigatingconflict, I aim to help couples strengthen their relationships throughpractical, research-based tools.

I am particularly passionate about helping clientsunderstand how pain is stored in the body and how trauma shapes thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Through EMDR, I guide clients in safely processingpainful memories so they can move toward lasting clarity, freedom, andconnection.

My work is also informed by my personal experience as aformer licensed foster parent and my current role as a biological, adoptive, and stepmother. This journey has deepened my understanding of the complexitiesof blended families, caregiving, and attachment, allowing me to support clientsnavigating similar relational dynamics with insight and empathy.

I also support older adults and their families as theynavigate dementia and cognitive decline. As a Certified Dementia Practitioner(CDP), PAC-trained provider, and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), I bringboth clinical knowledge and hands-on understanding to this deeply personalwork.

When I’m not counseling, I enjoy nature, quiet moments, andmeaningful conversation. I believe healing begins in small, intentional steps, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
